Help Us Build Our Wilderness Retreat Center
Our Main Project
The SOIL Foundation Wilderness Retreat Center is a tranquil wonder built in the heart of 50 acres of rolling forest terrain. It is an elegant, comfortable, and contemporary two-story home designed and fabricated from repurposed shipping containers. The Wilderness Retreat Center is environmentally sustainable and integrates natural systems. Water is harvested by purifying rain. Power is harnessed through solar and thermoelectric technologies. The Wilderness Retreat Center is heated and cooled primarily through natural means and is equipped with two kitchens, three bathrooms, and sleeping accommodations for up to 24 people. The retreat’s glass enclosed space and its outdoor balcony are ideal for relaxation, meditation, and yoga. The SOIL Foundation Wilderness Retreat Center is not only designed to be comfortable but also as a symbol of renewal, reconnection, and rediscovery.
You are invited to join us as we build our community. Together, we will build this amazing facility as we provide our veterans and public servants with a place of respite, and our youth with a place to flourish. Donate today.
We are The SOIL Foundation and we provide healing in a natural way.
Why Shipping Containers
The SOIL Foundation Wilderness Retreat Center is our most significant project. Shipping containers will not only provide shelter, but they will also symbolize transformation. The weather-beaten and worn containers become useful once again in ways they were not originally intended, much like the vital need we all have for renewing, reconnecting, and rediscovering of ourselves.
This is the mission of The SOIL Foundation, offering a place for true fellowship and personal growth while surrounded by and encountering nature.
Cost of Project
It will take $130,000 to build The SOIL Foundation Wilderness Retreat Center. We understand that we all have different capacities to give, whether big or small, every dollar makes a difference.

Other Donation Opportunities
Because of the magnitude and scope of this project you can imagine that it will take much more than monetary donations. We are in need of equipment and tools for land maintenance and clearing. We are also in need of other items for building projects and agriculture. Some items that are welcomed are:
Gator or small tractor
Hammers and other hand tools
