The SOIL Foundation’s wilderness-based events offer immersive, outdoor experiences to develop a positive mental attitude, and traits such as resilience, resourcefulness and responsibility, while providing an opportunity to regain strength through rest and relaxation.

FAMILY OUTDOOR GETAWAY

Community is the essence of all the programs at the SOIL Foundation. It takes everyone in a village to sustain a healthy and prosperous village. At our Friends and Family Wilderness Retreat, we provide a private off-the-grid alternative to the common activities and sports found in our overcrowded cities and towns.

Our programs will provide you and your family or friends with a unique way to have fun, learn life skills and relieve stress. Through nature, these fun excursions of group exploration and adventure will give everyone a deeper perspective and a stronger bond in their social and family life.

AMERICAN HERO RETREATS

The Hero Wilderness Retreat is the primary focus of The SOIL Foundation. It is our goal to provide a space for our nation's heroes to go to relax, restore, and bond with others who have dealt with similar challenges.

During this course our heroes will learn and perform wilderness skills in the ways of our ancestors. Training this way provides the perfect platform for a harmonious connection with nature and with people. Participants will learn shelter-building, fire-making, water procurement, trapping, tracking, and much more. Our classes are free to the protectors and guardians of our country and communities.
